About the Book:
This book of Chinese idioms is especially designed for foreign learners of the Chinese language and culture.
The book has the following features which are different from traditional dictionaries or handbooks of Chinese idioms:
- The selections are focused on idioms which are not necessarily four characters long, which can be found in nearly all the dictionaries of Chinese idioms.
- The arrangement of the idioms are from the shortest to the longest, namely from the most simple one to the most complicated one.
- Each expression is explained in a more reader-friendly and practical way.
- The selections, though not many, are among the most commonly-used in everyday Chinese conversation.
- Chinese language and mind-set can both be acquired through studying the handbook.
