About the Author:

Irene Bourquin is a registered nurse and midwife, an internationally certified childbirth/Postnatal educator and doula. She is the co-ordinator of the doula course in the Western Cape and the author of The Practical Pregnancy, Birt and Early Parenting (now in its fifth edition) and the Complete Guide to Grandparenting the Newborn Baby.She has practiced as a childbirth educator for over 25 years, running courses for pregnant couples, single mums, teens and grandparents in the Helderberg Basin. Irene has also appeared on television and radio, and written articles for both magazines and newspapers.
She regularly attends workshops and conferences, both locally and internationally, ensuring her clients are kept educated with current research and information.Irene is the mother of 2 daughters, who both run their our successful companies.Her work is her passion...
