About the Book Set:

With Groovy Adventurers, playing with your baby has never been such fun! A focus on developmental stages rather than ages allows you to recognise and revel not only in his major achievements but also his "mini" milestones. Be empowered to create many fun filled "just-right" challenges for your baby as you understand more of his physical and brain development during each stage.

This book is jam packed with over 100 easy-to-use activities, each carefully selected and chosen by experienced Occupational Therapists to build strong sensory, motor, perceptual and cognitive foundations.

"We do not need expensive toys to keep a baby busy; we can use household items like wooden spoons!" – Rachel Arends, caregiver to baby Franco.

"I learnt LOTS! Particularly regarding how certain activities impact developmental tasks and aims and the long term implications, e.g. language or writing skills." – Jolene Ridler, mom to baby Lisa and toddler Travis.

The Curriculum will provide easy access to the activities explained in the book, Groovy Adventurers: How to encourage your baby to move from one developmental stage to the next while having a blast! Your child's caregiver can use this booklet to plan stage appropriate activities for the week as well as record your little treasure's progress along the way.

"This book has a lot of nice and exciting activities that were well explained and promoted." – Michelle, mom to baby Danica and toddler Madison.

About the Authors:

Carly Tzanos and Lourdes Bruwer are devoted moms and Occupational Therapists. While working in private paediatric practice they both qualified in Sensory Integration Therapy. Their input, guidance and commitment to helping the clients they work with have changed the lives of many children and their families.
As therapists they noticed that many of the children referred for occupational therapy had gaps in perceptual, sensory and motor skills. These could have easily been eliminated by some focused fun time as they were developing the basics of these skills in the first few years of life. They are very excited to share some of their thoughts, insights and experiences with you. Their hope is that this curriculum will inspire you to really enjoy your time with your child and, above all, have the greatest amount of fun possible.
