Mhlengi Skeelo Khumalo

Skeelo Khumalo, one of the most prolific and eclectic writers in Africa, identified himself as a mystic, naturalist, and ethnologist. This young, voluminous writer is con-sidered one of the modern celebrities in Africa. He began his writing career much earlier in his life. Although he was an avid reader of all romantics, he became bored with some author’s predictability and decided to write his own stories. In 2001, he finished his first novel ‘The Scripture on the Walls’, which was a science fiction/fantasy story, never to be published. Many poems and short stories followed. In 2004, he won Anglo Platinum short story writing contest and in 2005 was awarded with Nobel Prize International Poetry Legends Awards. In 2006, he joined the Sediba project as the Screenplay writing student at the NFVF. Skeelo is analytical, creative, organized, compassionate and devoted.
