About the Book:
Restorative justice has a lot of techniques that dioceses and religious congregations in the Catholic Church can adopt and use when handling cases of misconduct by clerics and the religious. This book introduces the reader to four of such techniques:

• the use of mediation, problem solving circles and other forums for personal dialogue,
• the involvement of those affected by misconduct and neutral parties when making decisions in cases of misconduct,
• focusing on the experiences of broken lives and broken relationships when collecting and examining evidence,
• the use of sanctions other than punishment in solving cases of misconduct.

There are risks and benefits associated with each of these four techniques. The book helps the readers to appreciate and discuss such risks and benefits.
