About the Author:
Shelley L. Pryde is 14 years old and has been writing poems and short stories since she was eight years old. This is the first novel she has written, as well as her first published work. But there will definitely be more!

Interview with our Author:-
I live in Witbank, Mpumalanga, but I was born in Newcastle, Kwazulu Natal. I attend Liberty Christian Colledge and I am in Grade eight. I love to read Christian fiction, especially romance novels, and I was a fan of the Nancy Drew series between grade two and grade six. I've always loved to read,because you can enter a whole different world and enjoy stories as if you were actually watching everything unfold. I play piano, and my favourite books are the 'Mark of the Lion' series by Francine Rivers. She definitely influenced me, as well as the well known children's writers like Carolyn Keene, Roald Dahl and many, many more. I also love Karen Kingsbury and Bonnie Leon.

When I grow up, I would like to be a journalist, as well as an author and a poet. Besides all that, I love shopping and clothes, music(all genres), art, drama and old musicals like Grease and Footloose. I also loved Forrest Gump. I am fascinated by old things like those you find in antique stores. Each small thing has a history behind it! I became interested in writing poems and stories when I first started reading books like Nancy Drew and The Secret Seven, in grade two. Since then, I just can't stop!
