Clarice Sindisiwe Nyawose is the 8th child of 9 siblings. She was born in the Province of Kwazulu Natal in the rural area of Engonyameni, reside with her late brother in Umlazi. She studied at Esiphukwini Primary School, Engonyameni Higher Primary School, Skhwama High School and completed her matric at Menzi High School. She is a daughter of the late Ezoul Ndoda Nyawose, the school principal in the 70s and 80s at Enkonkoni Primary School. Her Mother Isabel Cabangani Nyawose, a farmer and a dedicated mother and wife passed on in 2004.
Clarice is an aunt, a sister, a mother to three beautiful children. She is a graduate of the University of KwaZulu-Natal, where she earned an Honours Degree in Social Work, Clarice is currently studying towards her master’s degree in the helping profession. Clarice has worked and practised as a social worker in NGO’s like the Amanzimtoti Child Welfare, Durban and Coastal mental Health, has worked for the Department of Correctional Services and is currently a manager at the National Prosecuting Authority of South Africa.
Her aspiration to write this book was due to the multiple losses and pain she experienced growing up in her family. Her journey through recovery, her strength and resilience to never allow anything to block her dreams and that of her beloved children and remaining family members. She wrote this book hoping to find answers to her turmoil of death and pain in her family.
She hopes her book help someone who has and who is going through the same type of grief. She hopes the book reaches someone who may shed some light on how to overcome death and how to make sense of her situation. Her desire and hope is that death could stop in her family.
