Growing up as a Zulu girl the emphasis was on my Zulu Culture that moulded me to be the person I am today. This book is a scholarly book based on intensive research and reference from different sacred texts of the world teaching about culture and religion. This has motivated me to revisit the subject of culture in relation to religion with the aim of finding common ground between the two. Giving rise to questions like “will I see the kingdom of God without religion that we have today?” What if my life is founded on my Zulu culture practice alone?  Will this stop me from seeing Heaven?

As much as I refer to this book as a scholarly book, an individual who is a seeker of truth with an open mind will enjoy reading this book. With the deep knowledge of the sacred text being displayed in the book it will give rise to many unanswered questions and constructive argument that will help rebuild and direct out world  our world in a positive way. Understanding the fact that we are all in one journey but the only person who separates us from one another in terms of race , religion and culture is us. This book will help revive that all cultural practice are of importance to God. Observing South Africa with its different colour people living together in peace and harmony regardless of their differences ;but choose to learn from each other, practicing their cultural beliefs freely, surely this makes the heaven rejoice with us. How does it feel to be South African when you see the Indians performing their belly dancing, what about the Scottish culture, the Zulu dance, the Shangaan, the Pedi dance, the Sotho ,the Carnival dance performed by Coloured people, the Xhosa dance, the Swazi dance, how does it feel. These differences is one common thing that brings us all together when celebrating who we are and what we represent in our country, reflecting on the name given by Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu when he called our nation a “Rainbow Nation”.

It will help people from different religions and cultures to understand what it means to speak of the Oneness’ of God in all of us. The day humanity sees God in all of us our world will be filled with peace and harmony but we needed to go astray first in order to find our way to the light to bring back the spirit of Ubuntu that teaches us that “ I am because you are.”

May the Gods that make this Oneness of God Bless Africa so as the whole world.
